MODERN ENHANCEMENTS
The eight milestones included in this collection are, of course, historical classics. But they are also fantastic shoot ‘em ups even today. Still not sure? Never fear; these versions of the games come with modern enhancements such as leaderboards, screen filters, quick save, and other quality-of-life extras. This way, anyone can experience them!

MUSIC OF THE PAST
The Toaplan games of the past were well-known for their tight gameplay mechanics, challenging difficulty, bright pixel explosions, and crisp 2D graphics. But just as appreciated as these features are the soundtracks. Video game music of this era was, of course, composed under strict limitations, and perhaps that’s precisely why it turned out so great. If you’re into retro video game music, you’ll love these soundtracks!

PIPIRU
During the 1980s, it was practically impossible for a game company not to have a colorful mascot. Shoot ’em ups aren’t exactly a genre known for things like this, but Toaplan actually had one too. Pipiru is a small, round, cute, and whimsical creature that appears in more or less hidden places across several of the company’s games. Can you find him in this collection?

If not, don’t worry! There’s also Volume 1 of this collection for those who want another eight hardcore shoot ’em ups to sink their teeth into. Now, let’s blast some enemies!
